[Usage]R125 is also known as HFC-125, Pentafluoroethane, FC-125, Freon 125. It is usually used to mix refrigerant R410A, R507, R404A and so on, to replace R22 and R502. It is also used as extinguisher to replace halon-1301. HFC-125 is a non-ozone depleting replacement for Halon 1301. In addition, HFC-125 leaves no residue on valuable equipment after discharge. HFC-125 is considered a Clean Agent and is therefore included in the National Fire Protection Association's 2001 - Standard for Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems.
